You can't always foresee a disaster, but you can prepare and know where to reach out for advice. Below are resources from the Northeast Document Conservation Center (NEDCC) for National Preparedness Month—and every day.
NEDCC Preservation Specialists are available 24/7 to provide telephone advice to institutions and individuals handling collection-related disasters. Information includes advice on drying wet collections and dealing with damage from fire, pests, and mold. The 24/7 Collections Emergency hotline is 1-855-245-8303.
